More About Me

Hi there, I’m Mackenzie Pesata

If you’ve been trying to stay strong on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside, you’re not alone. Many people come to me when they feel emotionally drained, stressed, or unsure how to manage everything they’re carrying. Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, or the pressure of major life changes, I’m here to help you find balance and feel more in control again. You deserve a space where you can slow down, breathe, and feel understood.

My focus

I support teens and adults who are navigating:
• Anxiety and depression
• ADHD and attention struggles
• Bipolar disorder and mood instability
• Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Disordered eating including binge eating and emotional eating
• Women’s mental health including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum
• Stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm
• Life transitions and sudden changes
• Family conflict and relationship strain
• OCD and intrusive thoughts
• Low self-esteem and self doubt
• Coping difficulties and codependency
• Infidelity, trust issues, and relationship challenges

Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together alone. Together we work to understand what is causing your stress, calm the emotional storms, and rebuild confidence and peace in your daily life.

My communication style

I am warm, steady, and easy to talk to. I listen closely and explain things in simple ways so you feel informed and supported. I create a calm space where you can open up without fear of being judged. You can expect patience, understanding, and a grounded presence throughout our work together.

My journey to mental healthcare

My background in emergency medicine showed me just how deeply mental health affects a person’s life. I saw how much people needed ongoing support, understanding, and guidance, not just quick moments of care. That experience inspired me to become a psychiatric provider so I could help people heal long term and build emotional strength that lasts.

My first session with you

Our first session is relaxed, supportive, and focused on understanding what you’re going through. We talk about your main concerns, how you’ve been feeling, and what changes you hope to see. If needed, I complete a simple screening or evaluation. You leave with clarity, a personalized plan, and the comfort of knowing you don’t have to face things alone.
